In an effort to educate Americans, the National Institute for Spanish-Language Education in Washington, D.C., created a website to help the country’s English-speaking citizens learn a second native language.
The website, which was initially titled “The Language of the World,” offers Spanish lessons, Spanish dictionaries, videos, and podcasts.
The site is a partnership between NILES and the American Federation of Teachers, with help from the National Center for Education Statistics.
As of March 31, the website had more than 7,500 courses.
NILERS is currently recruiting new instructors.
The organization is currently accepting applications for its 2018-2019 season, which begins in April.
